NZXT H510i Minimalist PC Case

NZXT is one of the leading brands when it comes to PC cases. They have some of the best available PC cases in the market. NZXT H510i is the successor of famous H500. NZXT has kept all the useful little details of H500, plus some small noticeable improvements in H550i.

There are two series of this product, H510 and H510i with simple and elite version. The price of these variants varies, and you can choose according to your requirements. The elite version comes with built-in power supply and RGB lights. Here we are talking about the i-series simple version.

The NZXT H510i is a PC case that offers an optimal design and features, making it perfect for anyone’s preferences and needs. It caters to both elite and casual gaming, and it’s suitable for professional work, entertainment, or gaming.

The case’s size is a middle ground between the H710i and H210i cases, providing enough space for various hardware, making it optimal for any setup, and not requiring much spending.

One of the case’s unique features is the single combo audio jack, making it easier to manage wirings. It also has a single screw for side panel access, allowing the user to access the interior faster. Additionally, it has an all air intake filter to reduce dust inside your PC, which is great for cleanliness and easy maintenance.

The H510i case is made of SGCC steel and uses tempered glass for its side panel. It has several physical connections, including USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C, USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A, and headset audio jack. The case also comes with two Aer F120 Case Version fans, and the specifications for this model are impressive.

It is a mid-tower case with a tempered glass side panel to showcase the internal hardware. The upgraded features include USB type-c, vertical GPU mount, glass with single screw installation and upgraded smart V2 device with a faster microprocessor. V2 device provides control of two hue two RGB lightning channels, and three fan channels that support either voltage regulated or PWM fans.

Built-in vertical GPU mounting option is a great way to show of your high-end graphics card through the tempered glass. NZXT H50i comes with brilliant cable management. The enhanced cable routing kit is patented by NZXT, and the preinstalled channels and straps provide a very convenient cable management. The motherboard support includes mini-ITX, microATX and ATX.

Overall, the NZXT H510i is a reliable and versatile PC case that caters to both beginners and veteran PC builders. It has several impressive features that make it worth the investment, such as the single combo audio jack, all air intake filter, and easy cable management. Its size is optimal for any setup, and it provides enough space for various hardware, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to build their PC.

DEEPCOOL MACUBE 550 BK Full-Tower Case

Macube 550BK is a premium case with an excellent all-black look. Deepcool decided to produce something fancy, elegant, concise, minimal, and sharp. The Macube 550 is Ddeepcool’s most recent case launch and is absolutely striking for its minimal design, no RGBs, and just a sharp-looking case. In my opinion, they have done an excellent job.

The design is mostly consistent throughout the case. It has a sandblasted finish, which provides a nice texture without the worry of fingerprints. The logo on the bottom of the front panel is the same color as the exterior to make a very subtle appearance.

The ventilation on the rear panel has a neat triangular, or you can call it a dragon scale design. The handlebar for the glass panel is a nice change from the regular case, with the gamer storm lettering printed onto it matching the brushed aluminum and going for that subtle look.

The triangular light design on the rear panel ventilation adds to the design language of the case. The glass side panel handlebar is a unique feature and matches the brushed aluminum look of the case

The front I/O is relatively basic with two USB 3.0 ports, audio jacks, power and reset button. It also comes with a single fan in the rear. It has airflow options for intake or exhaust on either the front or rear side panel since there’s no ventilation on top. There are appropriate dust filters for both the front panel and bottom of the case as well.

The front panel dust filter is oddly screwed into the panel and is not magnetic or removed by hands. The front panel can be configured for drive mounting, which is a neat idea, but who wants cables trailing to the front panel. There’s room for three 2.5″ drives and four 3.5″ drives. One of those SSD caddies is on the PSU shroud, and unfortunately, it does not have a captive thumbscrew.

While the PSU shroud is a good idea, the logo on the shroud does not match the subtlety of the design language and looks unrefined. The case is deceptively large and can support e-atx boards, but it covers the rubber grommets at that point. The fan and radiator configurations for the case are well thought out and listed out in detail.

The side panel is magnetic with its own handlebar, making life much easier for taking it off and leaving almost no fingerprints because of it. Lastly, the case’s exterior is made entirely from hot-dip galvanized steel or SGCC seat, which is a pretty decent material for a case. SGCC is corrosion resistant and solid in structural rigidity, so this case has quite a bit going for it, in my opinion.

What I didn’t like is that the glass panel is heavily tinted, which obscures the visibility of internal hardware.

Phanteks PH-EC416PTG_BK Eclipse P400

Phanteks P400 is by far my favourite minimalistic PC case, considering the looks. It comes with a tempered glass side panel with four screws, and the rest of the chassis is made of steel. The brand name is written on the front side of the case with RGB light flashing on it from the top. There’s a power button for RGB lights, and it’s up to you to keep it on or off.

The build quality of this PC case is outstanding, and you will know it as soon as you open the box. The metal front panel can be easily removed to gain access to fan mounts and two dust filters, and the design of the connectors that hold the panel in place is surprisingly convenient.

The glass panel on the left is a full window without any metal bezels, making for a sleek and modern look. The top includes the usual array of I/O ports, and the LED lighting on the front hooks up to Phantek’s own management circuitry that can be controlled by motherboard utilities.

Inside the case, Phanteks has opted for a clean, clutter-free design that allows for easy planning of more interesting builds. The PSU and drive bays are both contained within a shroud, making for a sleek and organized look.

The P400 is large enough to house many components, including up to four expansion slots, two for 3.5-inch drivers, and two for 2.5-inch drivers. The case also allows for massive, power-hungry GPUs to be installed, and there are a number of cooling options available.

The case itself is made of premium materials and is well-constructed with little in the way of flex. Phanteks has also included a number of extras, such as excellent cable management, rubber grommets, and full support for RGB lighting. Additionally, purchasing the Tempered Glass edition of the P400 includes a bundled magnetic LED strip that can be controlled by the switch on the front of the motherboard.

It is fully equipped with magnetic dust filters for easy cleaning. Phanteks P400 has an innovative design with 2x drop-n lock SSD brackets for easy setup (but you have to purchase them separately). It can support a long high-end graphics card with size up to 15.2 inches.

Other than the led strip installed in the font, it comes with an additional led strip for the interior. Led strip has a connector at the end that you can use to connect more led strips. You can also purchase extra Led strips from Phanteks.

Phanteks P400 supports a full-sized PSU with an option to remove the HDD cage. The chassis has a clean management system using the preinstalled hoop-n-loop cable ties. For optimal airflow, it supports 1 x 120mm fan in front, 1 x 120mm fan in the ear and it also supports water-cooling radiators up to 360mm.

Overall, the P400 Tempered Glass is a great option for those looking for an affordable but premium case for their PC build.

Fractal Design Define R6

Suppose you can’t compromise on the quality and wants to keep the noise of running hardware to a minimum then Define R6 is your best option. R6 is a solid PC case. But you have to pay a premium to get this case as it is almost double the price of an average PC case. This case is for serious gamers looking to build a high-end gaming PC.

The Fractal Design R6 case is a heavy yet modern and minimal design case available in different colors with and without tempered glass. The black version comes with white accents, while the white version comes with clear glass.

The case is spacious, with a grommeted cutout above the motherboard for the CPU power connector, cable management that is decent, and the side panels that are fastened with thumbscrews. The top panel has two layers, a mesh filter and a steel plate backed with acoustic foam, which can be removed by pressing a button at the back of the case.

It is highly optimized for silence with high-density industrial dampening on side, top and front panels. R6 comes with a ModuVent technology that lets the user choose between soundproof steel covers or filtered multi-fan ventilation system in the top panel.

The case has a single 5.25″ bay and an oddly fancy bay cover with a latch handle that swings out for easy removal. The hard drive bays are held in place with one captive thumbscrew and a plastic tab, and a metal cover obscures the drive from external view in the standard layout. Additionally, the case has an optional “open layout” that allows for more clearance for radiators and removes some airflow obstructions. Liquid cooling support is pretty good for a mid-tower.

One downside of the case is that it lacks USB Type-C slots in the front I/O, but Fractal has announced the Connect D1 front I/O kit that adds the missing USB-C slot. However, this small drawback is worth it for the minimalistic look.

The Flex VRC-25 vertical GPU riser kit is another accessory that is available and can attach to the PSU shroud for extra security. Overall, the Fractal Design R6 case is an excellent option for those looking for a modern, spacious case with a blank design and various customization options.

It offers next-level cooling capacity with nine different fan positions and clear airflow paths. R6 comes pre-built with three silent, airflow-optimized Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-14 140 mm fans for efficient airflow via two intake fans and a single exhaust.

You can attach a large graphics card up to 465mm and a PSU with a maximum depth of 300mm. The interior of R6 is highly modular, including six universal drive trays that can be positioned independently according to the needs.

LIAN LI LANCOOL 205 MESH C

The Lancool 205 Mesh is an excellent choice for anyone who wants a stylish and affordable mid-tower PC case that also provides excellent value, build quality, and ease of use. It’s an updated version of Lian Li’s existing Lancool 205 model, with the key difference being the addition of a mesh panel on the front of the case.

This allows for dramatically improved airflow over the original design and the fine holes in the mesh panel also act as a decent dust filter.

Overall, the design of the Lancool 205 Mesh is fairly standard, but it’s still striking and well-constructed. It’s made entirely of steel, which gives it a solid feel, but it isn’t so heavy that it’s difficult to move around. It has an all plain front with only the brand name printed on the front bottom.

The left side panel is made of tempered glass, while the right side panel is all metal. Behind the right side panel, you’ll find the 2.5-inch SSD caddies, cable management points, and access to the 3.5-inch drive bays.

This mid-tower PC case has a dimension of 8.1 x 16.3 x 19.1 inches. There is plenty of space inside for all of your hardware and supports all type of motherboards like ATX, mATX and mini-ITX. Changing the hardware is very easy and with the removable SSD mounting brackets, swappable top and front fan brackets and bottom side panel PSU and HDD bay.

One standout feature of the Lancool 205 Mesh is the radiator bracket built into the top of the case. It’s easy to unscrew and slide out, which makes it simple to fix your cooling solution in place. However, the bracket is a bit flimsy and only attaches with a single screw, which could lead to some movement.

The case supports a maximum of a 280mm radiator, so if you’re planning to use a 360mm radiator, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

In terms of performance, the Lancool 205 Mesh is impressive. With an Intel Core i5-11600K and an RTX 2080 installed, the CPU and GPU remain cool even under heavy workloads. The included fans are also whisper quiet and the fully open top of the case does an excellent job of venting heat.

Overall, the Lancool 205 Mesh is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an affordable, stylish, and high-quality mid-tower PC case. Its mesh panel provides improved airflow and dust filtration, while the included fan controller and radiator bracket make it easy to set up and use. It’s well-constructed and performs admirably, making it a great option for anyone building a new PC.

Lian Li comes with excellent cable management with extra space behind the motherboard tray to keep the cables hidden. It comes with magnetic dust filters for easy cleaning. There is side ventilation on both sides, a dust filter tray at the bottom and has two preinstalled 120mm fans for maximum airflow.

Vetroo AL-MESH-7C

The Vitro Mesh 7C is a computer case that is well-suited for gamers and professionals who require a powerful and customizable build. The front load power supply is a unique feature that sets this case apart from others. Loading the power supply from the front makes it easier to access and install, and it also makes cable management more straightforward.

The case is capable of fitting a full-size ATX board, which is essential for those who require high-performance hardware.

The mesh panel design of the case ensures excellent airflow, which is critical for maintaining low temperatures under heavy loads. There are mesh panels on the right side, top, and bottom of the case, which means that air can flow in and out of the case efficiently.

This airflow design is essential for keeping your computer components cool, which can significantly improve the lifespan of your hardware.

The tempered glass door on the side of the case is a standout feature that provides an easy way to show off your computer build. The tempered glass is sturdy and scratch-resistant, and the one-thumb screw design makes it easy to remove and access the internal components of your computer.

The case comes with a 120 millimeter fan, and cable management is made easy with plenty of space to work with.

The front of the case features a power switch, reset button, audio and headphone jacks, USB 3.0, and a type c port, which is enough connectivity options for most users. Additionally, the top of the case can fit a 360 millimeter water cooling system, which is larger than most cases of this size.

Overall, the Vitro Mesh 7C is an excellent choice for anyone who wants a powerful, stylish, and customizable computer case.

Cooler Master MasterBox Q500L

The Cooler Master MasterBox Q500L is an excellent option for gamers who want a well-built and affordable case. Despite its low price, it boasts several features that are typically found in more expensive models. This case is made from durable steel and plastic materials and has ventilation holes on three of its six sides. Its black painted exterior and interior give it a sleek and modern look.

MasterBox Q500L is a micro-ATX tower with ATX motherboard support and a magnetic dust filter. The dust filters are easy to install or remove due to the magnets for easy cleaning. It offers a compact space for your ATX motherboard and power supply unit with a body dimension of 386mm (D) x 381mm (H).

The Q500L is fully perforated for maximum airflow from all sides with various fan configurations. The chassis is very versatile and the built-in I/O panel is movable in 6 different positions. You can opt to install two 120MM fans at the bottom, two 140mm or 120mm fans at the top and one 120mm fan plus one radiator at the backside of the case. You can choose to have any layout you want according to your requirements.

There are two combos 3.5/2.5″ drive bays, and each bay can support one HDD or two SSDs. The power supply is placed on the top front side to utilize the space inside fully. Q500L offers a 27-30mm width of space behind the motherboard tray for better cable management. The side panel is made transparent acrylic with four screws.

One of the standout features of this case is its movable I/O panel, which allows users to relocate it to multiple positions based on their needs. It also comes with two USB 3.0 ports, headphone and microphone jacks, a hard drive activity LED, and a power and reset button. The case’s rubber-coated thumbscrews can be used as feet, which makes it possible to use the case in either horizontal or vertical orientation.

The case’s fan filtration system is another excellent feature. Its magnetic seals surrounding the edges of the top and bottom filters are very effective in preventing dirt and dust particles from entering your system. However, the attachment system for the bottom filter is not ideal and can make cleaning and maintenance difficult, especially when the case is positioned vertically.

One potential drawback of this case is the lack of an intake fan. However, this is a minor issue that can be remedied by installing one yourself. Given the case’s low price, this shouldn’t be a problem. Additionally, the 120mm rear exhaust fan can be adjusted to fine-tune airflow or make room for system components.

Overall, the Cooler Master MasterBox Q500L is a great option for gamers on a budget. Its features and construction quality make it an excellent value for its price. Although it has some minor shortcomings, it remains a solid choice for anyone looking for a high-quality gaming case that won’t break the bank.

Final Thoughts

Overall, minimalist PC cases are a great option for those who value a clean, simple look and want to save space while still having a high-performance build. They offer a great balance of form and function, and are a perfect choice for anyone looking to build a sleek, modern PC.

Personally, I like simple cases because they give a sleek modern look to your computer gaming setup. Unless you are a serious gamer with a room dedicated to gaming, a simple minimal PC case is better than a flashy one.
