However buying a cheap PC case under $50 is not an easy task, as there are a lot of options available in the market. From full tower to mid-tower and micro cases, it can be hard to choose the right one. But don’t worry we got you covered in this guide with 8 best cheap PC cases that you can buy under $50.

Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L Micro-ATX Tower

Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L Micro-ATX Tower

At the top, we have the cooler master Q300L micro ATX tower with magnetic dust filter. You will find these filters on top bottom and front of the case. The 3D design of magnetic filters look good, but the holes are too small and cause loud fan noise.

Magnetic dust filters are easy to attach and detach from the PC case. Q300L has a transparent edge-to-edge acrylic side panel, which adds to the beauty of this chassis. The side panel is fitted with four screws that are easy to open. The I/O panel on the right side and can be adjusted in six different positions.

It can support a normal-sized ATX motherboard with a body depth and height of only 370mm x 370mm. You can also check out the Cooler Master Q500L variant with a bit more space of 386mm x381mm. There is also an extra 28mm space behind the motherboard to keep the cables hidden.

Thermaltake Versa H18 Tempered Glass

Thermaltake Versa H18 Tempered Glass

Thermaltake Versa H18 TG (tempered glass) is a micro ATX tower case. The Versa H18 TG is a steel chassis with both the interior and exterior powder-coated black. The front cover is black plastic with an aluminum mesh front to help increase system airflow.

The I/O is located on the front panel, consisting of two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 2.0, the audio out, microphone port, power button, reset button, and LED buttons. On top of the case, you will find thermal tape branding and a 140mm magnetic dust filter.

At the rear of the case, there are four reusable expansion slot covers with a retention bracket and one 120 millimeter exhaust fan that can be adjusted to suit different cooling configurations. This is the only pre-installed fan in this case.

The case sits on four plastic feet with foam pads to help stop the case from sliding. The feet are good in size and allow sufficient ventilation for the power supply, which also has a dust filter.

The right side panel is steel, and the left panel is tempered glass. The tempered glass side panel is four millimeters thick and is held in by four thumbscrews. There is no ledge to hold the glass; instead, there are four rubber grommets that you need to align with the glass to help hold it while you fasten it to the case.

Looking inside, we have a basement with a cutout to see the power supply location and more Thermaltake branding along the side of the basement wall. The motherboard tray has five cutouts for cable management, three of which are along the top and two along the side.

Sadly there are no rubber grommets, but all the cutouts have been folded nicely, so there are no sharp edges. This case can fit both micro ATX and mini ITX motherboards and can house up to a 350 millimeter (13.75 inches) graphics card. The maximum CPU cooler height can be 155mm (6 inches).

There are two hidden 3.5 inch drive mounts in the basement, one on the floor and one on the ceiling. Two 2.5 inch drive mounts on the backside of the motherboard tray. There is 25mm (1 inch) space given for cable management on the left side of the case.

The Versa H18 TG can support up to five fans. There can be two 140mm or three 120mm fans at the front. The top of the case can fit one 140mm or one 120 millimeter fan. The front also supports a radiator up to 280mm, and the rear supports a 120mm radiator.

The cable management is quite simple, thanks to the ample space given behind the motherboard tray. However, I didn’t like the cable runs having just a single column of tie-downs. This is mainly because it is tough to get the cables tight against the motherboard tray.

The front mesh allows good airflow, and having a tempered glass side panel is a definite plus.

Montech Flyer- Black/Micro ATX

Montech Flyer- Black/Micro ATX

Right out of the box, the Montech Flyer gives you a spectacular look. One side of the front has a nice textured look, and the other has a mesh design. In between both, there is an RGB rail, which looks amazing. You can change the RGB settings and select different modes according to your liking.

The right side panel is all see-through acrylic to show off the internal components. The front also has a Montech logo on the lower side.

On top of the case you have a power button, a restart button, LED controller, audio ports, a USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports. The top part also has a large mesh grill with a removable magnetic dust filter and space for two fans. There is a magnetic dust filter at the bottom too with a space of one fan.

This is a micro ATX case, so you can only fit four PCI express slots at the back. There is an all-black fan at the top (included). After removing the front panel, you will find space for two 220mm fans (single front fan included). There is enough room behind the motherboard for the cables to go through and stay hidden. This case is not big but has enough room for a full-sized graphics card and three fans.

Overall this case has a very good looking glossy design with optimal airflow. Multiple places for air intake let the case breathe fine and keep the internal hardware cool.

AeroCool Cylon RGB Mid Tower

AeroCool Cylon RGB Mid Tower with Acrylic Side Window

If you are looking for a budget gaming PC case, then AeroCool Cylon is a good option. It has a sleek RGB light that goes from the top right to bottom left, adding a cool effect. The unique RGB light gives your gaming setup a modern look with 13 different lighting modes to select from.

The panel on the right side is made of transparent acrylic to showcase the internal hardware of your gaming PC. If we look at the specs, AeroCool Cylon supports liquid cooling with a 240mm radiator in the front panel. You can also add a 120mm fan on the top, three 120mm fans in the front, one 120mm in the rear to maximize the air-cooling function.

It has a dual-chamber design to improve the ventilation and a removable PSU dust filter for easy cleaning. This case supports high-end graphics cards of size up to 371mm. On the top part, you will find a USB 3.0, USB 2.0, power button, audio ports and SD card slot. Overall, it is a nice looking gaming PC case with lots of features and built-in RGB lights.

DeepCool MATREXX 55 V3 Case

DeepCool MATREXX 55 V3 Case

Without any doubts, Matrexx 55 V3 is a good looking PC case with dual tempered glass, one on the side and one on the front (three quarter with plastic on the right). This is an all-black case that gives a pleasant look when you unbox. Performance-wise this case is fine, but cases with a mesh grill front will give you better results than this.

But if you are in for the looks then don’t worry it won’t cause you any troubles as it has two side facing ventilations. There is a cool looking RGB light that separates the glass and plastic panels. The overall look of this case is very minimalistic. MATREXX 55 V3 has a little bit of everything at an affordable price.

Now let’s talk about what it has on each side. At the back, it has a PSU cutout at the bottom with seven expansion slots and a 120mm fan. On the right side, it has a tempered glass that is attached using four easy to remove screws. The left side is just a metal sheet with two removable screws.

The top part is where the I/O ports are, including power button, reset button, RGB button, audio/mic jack, two 2.0 USB ports and one USB 3.0. There is also a large mesh grill with a dust filter, and underneath that, you can fit two fans. The front can accommodate a radiator up to the size of 360mm.

What I didn’t like is that the cable management is not very neat plus the instructions along with the package are not very user friendly. MATREXX 55 V3 does not come with any built-in fans either. So go for it if you already have additional parts to fit in.

Cooler Master MasterBox MB600L ATX Mid-Tower

Cooler Master MasterBox MB600L ATX Mid-Tower

Cooler Master MB600L has a simple yet elegant brushed metal design. The red-coloured side trims ads to the beauty of the case, and you won’t end up with a boring looking design. Looking at the front of the chassis you can see a single drive bay, and on top of that, you will find a headphone & mic I/O ports, a power button, and two USB 3.0 ports.

The complete right side of MB600L has a smoked acrylic panel. The panel has rubber grommets for the screws to eliminate the unwanted vibration noise. There is plenty of space for a mid-tower case but if you are planning to add a lot of hardware, then go for a full-tower PC case.

The chassis includes a PSU mounting plate that can be removed for the user to install the PSU easily and put it back into the case. The rear 120mm fan is adjustable, and we can move it up or down according to the internal settings of hardware. It can support a GPU up to 400mm and a 240mm radiator.

For a micro ATX case, Cougar MG130-G has plenty of room for up to six fans or even a 280mm radiator and a stunning design with a full side glass panel.

The overall design is simple yet elegant. The front panel has a textured design and the company’s logo at the bottom. The top front part has a slope to it for easy access to your I/O ports. Here you will find a USB 2.0 header, a USB 3.0 header, audio ports, a reset and a shutdown button.

Cooler Master Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2

Cooler Master Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black

If you don’t have enough space for a full or mid-tower PC case or looking for a cheap yet compact PC case than Elite 110 is a good option to consider. This is a mini PC case that can hold a lot of power. It is one of the most compact PC cases in the market.

If we look at the design, it’s quite a simple case. Other than the front panel it is made of steel. The front panel is made of plastic covered with a mesh grill for optimal air intake. Both of the sides and the top part are vented for maximum airflow and keep the case cool. Despite its small size, it weighs 2.65 kg.

There is plenty of ventilation available in the case, but it lacks dust filters so that it will accumulate dust inside. You can add a sheet of thin foam behind the vents to keep the dust away.

On the left side of the front panel, you will find two USB 3.0 ports, audio jacks, an activity LED, and a reset button. At the back, there are cutouts for the power supply and the motherboard’s port cluster. The Elite 110 can house a PSU up to 180mm, although the description suggests a standard 142mm.

Overall, this is a good compact PC case at a reasonable price if you are looking to build a mid-range system. It can get a little noisy when running at full, but it can be reduced by selecting quitter components.
